We are accepting abstracts at this year's conference that fit the following themes:

  • Biobank Profiles - tell us about your biobank                        
  • Indigenous Research
  • Biobanking Standards and Quality
  • Emerging/Innovative Technologies
  • Biospecimen Research and Science
  • Data Linkage/Data Repositories
  • Networking, Collaboration and Partnerships
  • Ethical, Legal and Societal Issues

 *Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and best oral presentation*

 

Abstract Submission guidelines

Your abstract may be presented orally or as a poster (more information can be found below). Please indicate your preference in the registration portal. As space for oral presentations is limited, the ABNA Committee may need to override your preference. You will be notified of the outcome via email after the 21/09/2018.

  • You must submit your abstract through the registration portal
  • Word limit: 250 (excluding title, authors and references)
  • Figures and tables are not permitted

If you have changes to your abstract, please log into the abstract site as a returning user. You will be able to edit your submitted abstracts until midnight 14th September 2018. Do not create a new submission. No changes can be made to abstract content after the submission deadline.

Poster Presentations

  • Posters must be A0 size or less
  • Posters should be uploaded to the registration portal as a PDF in the following format: SURNAME_Firstname_poster2018.pdf
  • Please ensure your name and contact details are visible on your poster tube for easy collection at the end of the conference
  • Posters should be handed in at the registration desk upon arrival (committee members will hang)
  • Please stand at your poster during the designated poster presentation times (see program)
  • You will need to take your poster down by the end of the conference (poster tubes will be kept behind registration desk)

 

Oral Presentations (Rapid Fire)

  • Presentations should be 5 min in length
  • Please ensure your presentation is uploaded in the registration portal (PowerPoint only)
  • Please save your presentations in the following format: SURNAME_Firstname_rapidfire2018.ppt

 

Prizes

Prizes will be announced at the end of the conference.
